What’s on in the Equestrian Scene

There are many opportunities for visitors to enjoy a variety of equestrian events and activities which take place throughout the year. 

Don’t miss the Borders Festival of the Horse in May with over 40 events taking place including Floors Castle International Horse Trials. Thirlestane Castle provides a dramatic background to horse trials in August.

Race meetings take place from October to May and there are always endurance competitions, ‘Le Trec’, guided rides, carriage driving, riding club and pony club activities taking place.
