Forest Parks

Galloway Forest Park is the largest forest park in Britain covering some 300 square miles of forest, ancient woodland, lochs and lots of horse riding routes. Explore 400 miles of forest roads and discover the secrets of wild Galloway among some of South West Scotland’s most dramatic scenery. There is open access for horse-riders on all forest roads in Galloway Forest Park. The roads are not way marked so you need to plan your own route. Galloway Forest Park is ideal for a couple of hours ride, a day ride or even a weekend.
